Inserting fields into database tables with phpMyAdmin This video assumes you've already logged in to phpMyAdmin. Now let's learn how to insert fields in a database table. First, select the database where the table exists... ... then click the table where you want to insert the new field. Click the Structure tab. Choose how many fields to add, and where in the table they should be added. Click Go. Enter the name, type and length of the new field, then click Save. That's it!
