IRCd Hosting

IRCd Packages are designated for people who wish to run their own IRC server or an IRC server as part of a network. With an IRC Daemon Package, you may run an IRC Server Leaf, Hub, or even Network Services. Please note that if you plan on running a hub for a network of over 10,000 users you will need to contact sales before purchasing a server. These packages are not limited to running IRC Daemons or Network Services but please note as with most of our shell packages, you receive One(1) outbound connection per background process.

Notes

  • Unmetered bandwidth means we do not actively monitor the bandwidth unless it becomes apparent you are abusing our network bandwidth. If your server exceeds it's user limit, or has users which are using excessive bandwidth, you will be emailed a notice telling you to control your server's bandwidth.
  • User amount provided for estimation purposes only and it is not a guarantee of how many users you can fit on an IRCd process. Account packages are based on transfer bandwidth used, we do not limit by users.
  • At the present time, SpexHost can only offer IRCd hosting in Los Angeles.
  • SpexHost offers free setup on your IRC Daemon Software and/or Network Services. This is a one time service (Not managed) - If you need us to manage or re-setup your software, there will be an additional fee. If you are connecting your server to a network which has over 10,000 users connected, you must contact sales prior to ordering in order work out proper rate of payment.
